Description:

This 1997 AM General Hummer is a four-door open-top example that is finished in Fly Yellow and is powered by a 6.5-liter turbodiesel V8 linked with a four-speed automatic transmission and a dual-range transfer case. The truck rides on a lifted suspension and is further equipped with 22″ Fuel wheels, 38″ tires, a brush guard, LED exterior lighting, a black soft top, an air intake snorkel, and a receiver hitch. On the inside, the four bucket seats are upholstered in black leather with diamond-patterned stitching and are joined by air conditioning, cruise control, a Kenwood head unit, Polk speakers, and a PA system.

Interior:

The cabin houses four high-backed bucket seats that were reupholstered in black leather with diamond-patterned stitching. Appointments include air conditioning, cruise control, and a Kenwood CD stereo. A TFT monitor is mounted to the roof along with Polk audio speakers and a Lamphus SoundAlert PA system. The three-spoke steering wheel sits ahead of a 100-mph speedometer, a tachometer, and auxiliary gauges for battery voltage, oil pressure, coolant temperature, and fuel level. The six-digit odometer shows 56k miles.

Exterior:

There were 1,209 civilian Hummers produced for the 1997 model year. This four-door open top example is finished in Fly Yellow with a black soft top and bodyside accents, and additional features include a clamshell fiberglass hood, a fold-down tailgate, fog lights, a receiver hitch, rocker panel guards, a split windshield, and steel bumpers with recovery points. Exterior modifications include LED headlights, three LED light bars, and an air intake snorkel.

Drivetrain:

The 6.5-liter turbodiesel V8 was factory rated at 190 horsepower and 430 lb-ft of torque. Power is sent to all four wheels through a four-speed automatic transmission, a dual-range transfer case, and front and rear Zexel Torsen torque-biasing differentials. Black-finished 22″ Fuel wheels are mounted with a mixture of Rolling Big Power and Mickey Thompson tires measuring 38×15.5″. The truck rides on a lifted independent suspension with portal axles, and it is equipped with four-wheel inboard disc brakes.
