Description:

This 1947 Chevrolet Fleetline Aerosedan rides on a modified chassis with Air Lift air suspension and front disc brakes, and a 350ci V8 and TH350 three-speed automatic transmission were installed. The interior has been re-trimmed in tan vinyl with patterned inserts, and further modifications include an Edelbrock carburetor and intake manifold as well as a dual exhaust system with headers. The body is finished in green, and the car is fitted with body-color windshield and headlight visors, rear fender skirts, and 15″ steel wheels with whitewalls. Previously listed on BaT in November 2023 and subsequently acquired by the selling dealer, this modified Fleetline is now offered with a July 2023 issue of StreetScene magazine featuring the car along with Vintage Air climate-control components.

Interior:

The bench seats have been reupholstered in tan vinyl with patterned accents and are accompanied by matching door and side panels. A Guide traffic light viewer sits atop the dash, which also features an analog clock. Vintage Air air conditioning has been added, though the system is not hooked up, and a Sony head unit is mounted below the dash along with the an Air Lift controller. A two-spoke steering wheel with a Chevrolet-crest center cap and a chrome horn ring fronts a green-painted dashboard. Replacement instrumentation includes an AutoMeter 120-mph speedometer and gauges for voltage, fuel level, oil pressure, and coolant temperature as well as a digital odometer that indicates 570 miles, which represents the mileage since completion. The trunk houses equipment for the Air Lift suspension behind a vinyl-trimmed panel.

Exterior:

The Aerosedan features a lower roof with a split windshield, and this example was repainted in green under previous ownership. Details include windshield and headlight visors along with a spotlight, rear fender skirts, and door-mounted side mirrors.

Drivetrain:

The 350ci Chevrolet V8 was installed under previous ownership and is equipped with an Edelbrock carburetor atop a Moroso spacer and an Edelbrock aluminum intake manifold. A Champion aluminum radiator with an electric pusher fan has also been added along with headers. We replaced the ignition components and front air springs in preparation for the sale. The car does not have a choke. Power is sent to the rear wheels through a TH350 three-speed automatic transmission. The dual exhaust system exits ahead of the rear axle. Body-color 15″ steel wheels wear Chevrolet-logo chrome hubcaps and Nexen whitewall tires. The car rides on a modified chassis with an Air Lift air suspension system, and braking is handled by front discs and rear drums.
